How to Make Easy Halloween Snacks for the Grandkids
Grandma Sandy is on vacation, returning Wednesday, November 6. In the meantime, each week, we’ll feature a curated collection of the best of “Call Me Grandma!” In today’s post, we’re highlighting some of our favorite Halloween snacks for kids.
Treats are in demand this time of year. Here are three yummy choices you can make for–or with–the grandkids.
Kids will enjoy making Halloween Haystack Ghosts with white baking chips, crispy chow mein noodles, and almonds. For kids with a nut allergy, substitute toasted sunflower or pumpkin seeds, or more noodles, for the almonds.
Creepy Fingers and “Blood” Dip
Everyone will do a double take when you serve these lifelike Creepy Fingers with “Blood” Dip. Kids can shape the fingers using a table knife. It’s nice to have a non-sweet Halloween snack, for a change.
Pumpkin Patch Cupcakes
Pumpkin Patch Cupcakes feature crushed chocolate cookies as the dirt with marzipan pumpkins planted on it. The pumpkins are made using store-bought marzipan candy dough, found in the baking section of supermarkets. These pumpkins would be perfect for Thanksgiving cupcakes, too.
